About The Cooking Twins
We’re Emma & Ella. We cook like we mean it.
Twin sisters, one kitchen, zero apologies for butter. Every recipe on this site has been tested, argued over, and eaten twice before it goes live.

Our story
We didn’t grow up in a quiet kitchen. Our mom cooked like every meal was a celebration loaded casseroles on Tuesday nights, two-layer cakes that leaned a little, pecan bars that disappeared before dinner was even over. That’s where we learned that the best recipes don’t need to be complicated. They need to be memorable.
The Cooking Twins started the way most good things do: out of stubbornness. We kept arguing about whose version of a dish was better Emma’s richer, Ella’s sharper so we started testing them side by side. We’d each make a batch, compare, combine the best of both, and write it down. That process became this site.
Every recipe here has a name with a story, a technique we argued about, and a result we’re proud to put our names on.
Meet the Team

Emma Frost
Co-Founder
Emma is the one who adds an extra tablespoon of butter and calls it balance. Her recipes lean rich, layered, and unapologetically indulgent the kind of thing you make when you want dinner to feel like an event.
She has a weakness for anything with a cast iron skillet, a good naming idea at 11pm, and recipes that sound harder than they are. Her personal rule: if it doesn’t make someone ask for seconds, it’s not done yet.
Emma tests every recipe a minimum of three times before it goes on the site. Her notes usually say things like “needed more salt,” “needed a longer rest time,” and “do not skip the sear I mean it.”
Emma’s specialties
Comfort dinners · Loaded pasta · Cheeseburger recipes · Cast iron cooking

Ella Frost
Co-Founder
Ella measures everything. Twice. She’s the reason our ratios are right and our no-bake desserts actually set. While Emma eyeballs, Ella calculates and between the two of them, the recipes always land.
She’s obsessed with texture that specific moment when a no-bake bar slices clean, when a cheesecake holds its shape without baking, when a pretzel bark snaps exactly right. She finds this deeply satisfying. We find it very useful.
Ella’s testing notes are the most detailed on the site. You’ll often see her observations in recipe cards: “Full-fat cream cheese only,” “4-hour chill minimum,” “the almond flour version did not hold stick to the original.”
Ella’s specialties
No-bake desserts · Bars & slices · Cheesecakes · Holiday baking
What we publish
The Cooking Twins is built around one idea: viral, memorably named American comfort food. The recipes that make you stop scrolling. The dishes that get requested at every potluck. Loaded dinners, indulgent desserts, and crowd-pleasing party food all tested in a real home kitchen by two people who will tell you honestly if something didn’t work.

If a recipe has a great name and tastes even better, it belongs here.
